Hey guys! Llamas need to do more for our community and I have the perfect opportunity. The Independence Police Dept. is having a fundraiser for the department that helps protect kids. The event is the 25th of July and is going to be so much fun! They have a band, great dinner, great guest host, and lots of fun auction items. It should be a blast. Float Trip Cost

Okay guys, here is the scoop. ( I always feel like this is the Debbie Downer portion of the float trip announcements. I am sure most of us can remember when this part of the prep didn't turn out so well....)

I reserved 9 canoes for a total cost of $7.50 per person ($15 per canoe).
The total cost for each person is as follows:
$16 for canoe + $5 for camping = $21 per person.

The following folks have had their canoe reserved by ME so they owe $7.50 per person to me and $13.50 to Maggards:
Ian, Cara, Al, Jon, Brooke, Justin, Tiffani, Chris, Jackie, Smitty, Christina, Mark, Amanda, Amanda's guest, Debbie, Josh, Amy, Sam

If you were not on that list and are coming to the float trip (and floating) please make sure that Maggard's has a canoe for you! Their number is 1-888-546-9788 or www.maggardscanoe.com. They usually have plenty, but you may want to make sure.

Our campsite is reserved under NAU.

Llama Food for Float Trip

It's food time.  Everyone needs to bring their own food for breakfast and dinner, but for lunch we typically take sandwiches and chips.  Sign up for whatever food contribution you would like to make.   We need the following foods and goods, I probably left some things off so feel free to add! There will be 20 something there so remember that when you sign up.

Llama tents

Hey llamas it's tent time! We're going to try to do this as smoothly as possible. Please respond to this blog in the comment section with one of the following responses. I'll wait until most of you have responded and then try to clump people in tents.

Dos De Mayo

Saturday is our celebration for Dos De Mayo!  We're going to start the festivities at Centerline Volleyball with a washer tournament.  Get there at 12 for sign ups, then the tourney starts at 1:00.  It's $5!  After that good time we're going to go out to eat as some Mexican restaurant.  Not sure where, but if you're interested text Al, or Cara on Sat.  PS there will be a surprise guest there!  Someone we've all missed...you guessed it, KELLY!!!!!!  See you Sat.

Booze and Food Club recap...

And the first Llama cup winner of the year is...drum roll please...Tiff!  The first ever booze and food club quickly and suddenly became the Tiffany show.  It was  a lot of fun, and everyone left the party envious of Tiff's good time.  We all have memories of our own Llama cup wins.  I think in honor of this first win we should all share our memories of llama cup wins.  One of my favorites is the time at cheesecake factory when I convinced everyone that I was a server, and threatened to throw a fork.  Can you remember your last llama cup win?  Maybe it's your turn. Remember there's a once a year quota!

Crawl for Cancer

Hey guys the crawl for cancer is just around the corner and we need to get our entries in before this Friday April 3rd or we have to pay more.  If you're interested it's 500 per team of 10.  You get a shirt and free beer all day.  It's really fun.  I've attached a link so check it out.  Contact me this week or leave a comment, then drop a check in the mail or come by.  We also need to think about transportation and or lodging.  Last year Jon and I really wished we had gotten a hotel room.  Holiday in is running a special for $99 a room.  Drink on!

Booze and Food Club

Ok llamas!  It's time for the first Booze and Food club meeting.  Normally the monthly event would take place at the Nau's house, but due to birthday obligations the dinner will be relocated to the Carenza casa. This months theme is Weenie's and Martini's!  Bring a crockpot food and your favorite Martini mix!  We'll get the evening started around 7!  

 

Camo party in just 5 days!  I can't wait.  Dig out your camo and water guns.  I know we usually go to that place in Lees Summit.  Does anyone know if we have to have a reservation?  Hmm we might need to get on that.

meatballs, memories and ...apples?

After filling up on meatballs the llamas played Apples to Apples and then watched some old home videos.  I think everyone would agree that it's a good thing we took the video camera out all those times.  It was fun looking back, even though it was only a short 6 years ago we looked like babies!  Good times llamas!

At Allison's request I changed the background colors. Hopefully she likes it, man she is demanding! haha. Here is a pic circa 2006 Camo Party. I think there are some girls in this pic, but I can't tell through all the Camouflage! Check the calendar for Camo Party 2009 and plan on being there!

Chicken shit

Recipe for Chicken shit!

2 large chicken breast cut and cubed

1  can of cream of chicken healthy choice

1 can of diced tomatoes

3 tablespoons of worchshire sauce

some thyme

some seasoned salt

mix together and bake with mozzarella cheese on top

serve on egg noodles

LOL best with any form of booze
